Wes Helfrich is a PGA Member of the Georgia Section, turning professional after graduating from Mississippi State University and the Professional Golf Management Program in 1992.
Wes has been the Head Golf Professional at Northwood Country Club for the past 11 years. During his tenure, he planned and coordinated the yearly golf calendar for an active 500+ member club playing 40,000 rounds annually. Included was a successful teaching program that helped all skill levels; from junior golfers, to ladies group clinics and the single digit handicap players. Wes passed on his knowledge on the importance of the fundamentals and the swing process with effective drills to improve the students abilities.
Prior clubs in Wes’s career include; Evansville Country Club (Indiana), The Standard Club (Georgia), Jimmy Mozely’s Golf Center (Georgia) and The Champions Club of Gwinnett/Atlanta. Playing career includes yearly play in Georgia PGA Section events, National Assistants Championship 2004-05 Port St Luci, Florida. ClubCorp Member/Professional Championship Pinehurst, North Carolina, Buick Scramble Team Finals 2003-04 Orlando, Flordia, College golf at the University of Evansville 3 years.

8 time Georgia PGA Player of the Year.
Qualified for and played in the 2012 US Open at Olympic Club in San Francisco.
Played in the PGA Championship 5 times.
